PAUL SPICER

Paul trained at the Arts Educational Schools where he was the recipient of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship. On completion of his course, he immediately made his West End debut at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the juvenile lead role of Michael Spofford in Cameron Mackintosh’s production of The Witches of Eastwick. He then played Nick Piazza in the national tour of Fame the Musical and subsequently joined the cast of the Boy George musical Taboo, in which he played the role of Billy opposite Julian Clary and Boy George himself.

His other theatre credits include Prince Charming in Cinderella for QDOS, Prince Alexander in Sleeping Beauty at the Nottingham Playhouse, Kevin in the UK workshop of Debbie Does Dallas for Adam Kenwright, an international production of Evita in Beirut directed by Nikolai Foster, the UK tour of Saturday Night Fever, the UK première of Little by Little at the Arts Theatre and the role of George Mortimer in the world premiére of The Musical Medium at the Landor Theatre. Paul played Daniel Pontipee in the UK tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and premièred his solo show Something in Common, which he also devised and directed, at the Theatre Museum in Covent Garden, following which he completed a year-long contract in the international tour of the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! He regularly teaches at and is a Member of the Trust at the Arts Educational School. Other credits include performing with New York’s award-winning Rick Skye in A Slice O’ Minnelli during its London première, appearing as a guest artist on Julie Atherton’s debut album A Girl of Few Words, starring in the internationally acclaimed music video for Uniting Nations’ top ten hit single Out of Touch and features in the Youtube smash hit short film Portrait of a Princess taken from the album Unwritten Songs by British composer Michael Bruce, on which Paul is also a featured vocalist.

 

Paul recently spent a summer with the Gothenburg Opera playing the role of Tobias in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. He then returned to the U.K to headline a series of concerts with major symphonic orchestras and travelled to Dublin to headline with the RTE Concert Orchestra. He played the lead role of Jamie in The Last Five Years at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket and subsequently at the Duchess theatre. Paul played the lead roles of Princeton / Rod in Avenue Q at Wyndhams Theatre and made is Broadway debut in Lance Horne: First Things Last at New York’s prestigious Lincoln Center.

 

Paul co-founded and was Associate Director of the West End’s Notes from New York concert series, for which he headlined shows at the Donmar Warehouse, the Arts Theatre and the Trafalgar Studios, and it's seasonal strand Christmas in New York at the Apollo, Lyric and Prince of Wales theatres respectively. 

Paul co-founded the West End production company and record label Speckulation Entertainment and was Creative Director for 3 years. Speckulation Entertainment has produced Alan Cumming: I Bought a Blue Car Today at the Vaudeville Theatre, Megan Mullally & Supreme Music Program also at the Vaudeville, Lynda Carter: At Last, Jason Robert Brown & Anika Noni Rose and Caroline O'Connor: The Showgirl Within and recently J.B Priestley's When We Are Married all at the Garrick Theatre. Frances Ruffelle: Beneath the Dress (Garrick); Julie Atherton: No Space for Air (Delfont Room); Christmas in New York (Prince of Wales); Marilyn & Ella (Apollo); Michael Bruce (Apollo); Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne (Vaudeville); The Last 5 Years, starring Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer (Duchess); tick, tick... BOOM! (Duchess); Christmas in New York starring Maria Friedman (Lyric); The Last 5 Years, starring Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer (Theatre Royal Haymarket); A Spoonful of Stiles & Drewe; and all of the shows in the ever-popular Notes from New York series (Donmar, Arts, Trafalgar Studios).

During his time with Speckulation he released original cast recordings of A Spoonful of Stiles & Drewe, Stiles & Drewe’s Peter Pan, Christmas in New York and Dougal Irvine’s Departure Lounge. Solo releases by West End artists include Julie Atherton: No Space for Air and Helena Blackman: The Sound of Rodgers & Hammerstein. They also produced the infamous Confused.com ad campaign that featured numerous musical numbers and then eventually, a version of the YMCA.

In 2011 Paul became a Director of Stage Acts Entertainment, a production company that works in the world of corporate entertainment in the UK and internationally. Stage Acts produces the national tour of An Evening of Dirty Dancing, a fully choreographed concert celebration of the music from the award winning soundtrack to the movie. The tour is now booking into 2017.

 

In 2012 Paul founded The List Agency, a boutique entertainment booking agency, production company and music development hub.

In 2019 Paul became the Creative Director of ArtsEd International, Dubai.

Matt Firth

MATT FIRTH

Matt began his professional performing career at a young age appearing in theatre productions at the Leeds Playhouse where he played numerous roles including Bill Jukes in Matthew Marchus’ acclaimed production of Peter Pan. He then went on to train at the Arts Educational Schools London where upon leaving he joined the West End cast of Fame the Musical (Aldwych Theatre & Cambridge Theatre). Subsequently he was a part of the original West End cast of Rod Stewarts‘ Tonight’s the Night (Victoria Palace Theatre) and he spent a season with the Royal Shakespeare Company in their critically acclaimed production of Beauty and the Beast (Royal Shakespeare Theatre). Other credits include Twisted (Oval House Theatre), Seduction (Bailiwick Arts Centre, Chicago, USA). TV credits include Emmerdale (ITV), Talk to Frank television campaign, Morrisons TV campaign, Blue Peter (BBC), Children in Need (ITV). 

Matt has toured the world as a vocalist with the powerhouse vocal trio Hollywood & the Kings and male vocal duo Dukebox with whom he performed for His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco (Salle Des Etoilles, Monte Carlo).

Matt is the co-principle of West End Global curating musical theatre courses at the International Schools of Monaco and Nice in the South of France. He previously ran Onstage Acts presenting enrichment programmes for professionals in musical theatre training in London.

In 2010 Matt founded Stage Acts Entertainment Ltd, a corporate entertainment booking agency and production company for whom he developed a number of acts and produced shows for clients including: British Airways, Paddington Covers, Hilton Hotels Group, Novus Leisure, Centre Parcs, Haven Holidays, Warner Leisure, Butlins, Waitrose, Tesco, Barclays, First Bank, Windsor Races, Epsom Downs, Kempinski Hotel Moscow. Stage Acts Entertainment Ltd has also produced numerous concerts including You’ll Never Walk Alone (Queen’s Theatre), An Evening of Dirty Dancing (UK, Norway, Spain, Italy), Summer Dreaming (Embassy Theatre Skegness & UK tour) and Best of British, Soul of Disco & Masquerade for Canary Wharf Arts & Events (Canary Wharf, London).

In 2012 Matt co-founded The List Agency Ltd, a boutique entertainment booking agency production company and music development hub for whom he manages number music acts and produced Dukebox (Cafe de Paris, Monaco), Swoon & Croon (La Passerelle, Nice), The IDolls (The Hippodrome), Hollywood & the Kings (Live at Zedel in London, Club Bonafide in New York and Club Cumming in New York).

In 2020 Matt became an event manager for Pride in London, curating many events and taking them online during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also relocated to Dubai, UAE and took on the role of drama consultant at Kings’ School, Al Barsha. Matt is an experienced acting, singing and public speaking tutor and a TEFL qualified English language teacher.

In his spare time Matt is a keen song writer and music producer.
